چکیده
Background and objective: Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), first detected in patients Wuhan, China, soon became an international emergency concern. Since, blood tests can play a pivotal role the early diagnosis management present study aimed to investigate any possible association between hematological biochemical markers prognosis these patients. Methods: The was conducted 60 confirmed COVID-19 (31 males, 29 females; mean age 64.43 ± 17.52. data were extracted from available medical records. assigned two groups: A “recovered” group “deceased” group. Examinations involved Complete Blood Count (CBC) serum factors. Inflammatory indicators, including C-reactive protein (CRP), Neutrophil-To-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) assessed terms of gender groups. parameters again at time discharge compared with those admission. Results: Elevated Neutrophil (NEUT), NLR, Sodium significantly correlated adverse outcomes (P= 0.030 0.037, 0.032 respectively). Low Levels Of Lymphocyte (LYMP) increased occurrence death females 0.011). platelet counts rate older than years old 0.021). In addition, higher ages associated poor clinical outcome (P=0.031). Conclusion: Among previously mentioned routine laboratory NEUT, LYMP, PLT, Na valuable indicators for prediction severity upon hospital admission as well during therapeutic interventions.

Prognostic value of hematological parameters in patients with paraquat poisoning
Paraquat (PQ) is a non-selective contact herbicide, and acute PQ poisoning has a high mortality. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the prognostic value of hematological parameters in patients with acute PQ poisoning. We retrospectively reviewed the records of patients with acute PQ poisoning from January 2010 to December 2015 at the First Affiliated Hospital, Anhui Medical University ...

Background: Low vitamin D has been linked to enhance inflammatory markers in various pathological conditions. We aimed to evaluate the urinary tract infection (UTI)-associated hematological and inflammatory markers mediated by low serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D]. Methods: Vitamin D level, hematological indices (Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio [NLR], Monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio [M...
